Olive (Olea europaea)

ZK350.00

Olive (Olea europaea) is an ornamental and functional evergreen fruit tree. The flowers and fruits attract pollinators in the garden. Our trees flower in spring and summer. The fruits are eaten pickled or crushed to extract oil when freshly harvested. It is relatively low maintenance. The regular tree is moderately large but may be potted to restrict its size. Add compost three times yearly and water twice weekly until the plants are established. The plants may vary from the images in the pictures. #LoveHomeGrown

Plants include Mission, Picual, Empeltre and Luccino olive varieties. In contrast, cuttings offer more olive varieties. You may need more than one variety to allow wind and pollinator insects to cross-pollinate the flowers. Leccino is a good pollinator of other olive varieties, but Picual may be self-fertile.
