Tamarind (Tamarindus indica), aka Kawawasha/ Musika, is a deciduous fruit tree. The air-layered plants bear fruit earlier and at smaller sizes. The fruits are sour, especially when picked fresh with green flesh, which turns brown, and sweet-sour on drying. They are rich in antioxidants and vitamin B. The plants may vary from the images in the pictures.
