Bare-Looking Dormant Plants
The sight of dormant trees shedding their leaves is a defining feature of winter in gardens and orchards with temperate or deciduous plants. During this time, the bare plants are vulnerable to chilling dry winds and dust, exposing their stems and grass. Similarly, in the summer, the dormant plant stems may face the risk of excessive dry heat. The exposure of bare plants potentially leads to the death of some branches.
Evergreen and Tropical Plants

The tropical and evergreen plants act as protective companions for dormant plants, often concealing them from view.
