We see the end of the rainy season, and the vegetables are thriving. The sunny days have come, and we can finally gather the fruits of our labour. The fields are full of vibrant green plants thanks to the nourishing rains. Egyptian spinach stands tall and inviting, while lumanda (false rosella) and amaranthus complete our rich harvest with their nutritious leaves. Among the green plants, the tree collards and kale are ready to provide food during the drier days ahead. Green rosella, with its unique flavor, is ready to be picked.
The fresh chillies and ginger have also thrived, adding a spicy and fragrant touch to our harvest. The weeds are growing less aggressively, and the dry weather allows us to spray fungicides and pesticides after harvesting our vegetables and spices. We will soon be drying the Egyptian spinach leaves.
