Valencia orange: This is a very productive, reliable orange variety. It has the ideal small-sized tree, medium-sized fruits, and yellow-orange colour in warmer regions. Good for juicing, jams, marmalade, pickling and candied citruses. The rind is thinner and harder to peel than naval orange. It has a good shelf life without refrigeration. The tree is low maintenance. Make lovely fresh orange juice in the summer months. Like many citrus trees, it is drought and heat tolerant. Add compost thrice yearly or four times if it bears fruits continuously or if potted. Water once or twice weekly. Preventive measures for all citrus trees should include leaf miner, citrus scale, Aphids, fungus and caterpillars. Cuttings are suitable for rooting or grafting.

NB: Seedless citrus varieties may develop seeds when cross-pollinated with other varieties.
