Piper sarmentosum Lalot Piper Lolot is a fast-growing creeper native to Thailand and Vietnam. It is drought and pest-resistant. Leaves are harvested throughout the year and must be harvested regularly to encourage the growth of new leaves. Leaves are sliced into salads, steamed as vegetables or as meats wrappers. Despite the resemblance, the plant is related to but is not betel. Plant in well-drained deep soils. Water twice weekly and add compost once or twice yearly.
