Flowering Plants That Sustain Bee Populations In The Rainy Season

Bees are a crucial component of successful horticulture and our urban food forest. After thunderstorms, many bees may be found dead on the ground as they struggle to gather pollen and return to the hive during inclement weather. To reduce the number of bees lost due to hostile weather, plant trees or hedges around the orchard’s perimeter to shield it from strong winds and ensure they have enough flowers to pollinate near the hive.

Fortunately, the rain provides abundant flowering plants suitable for bee pollination and other pollinators, which contribute to the development of fruits or seeds that lead to the creation of new plants, some of which are unique hybrids. Below are some plants blooming during the rainy season to keep our bees happy.
